"I finally am learning how to keep my hair naturally manageable. I learned through the Internet, mostly through Blackvoices.com. The posters helped me a lot. They told me which products to buy, how to manage the hair, etc. I got my burgundy braids out finally, that's why. Well, I ran into a few errors with those Suave Shampoos--It put so many knots in my hair I spent two hours cutting them out. I'm still mad because I could have had 2 inches or more hair than I do now if my hair didn't tangle up. But I went back & I got Creme of Nature, Lustrasilk, Nexus, and some other good products which really helped my hair. Just applied my Infusim Leave-In spray and it worked like a charm. "
Today...
Although I learned what products worked for my hair through online boards, ultimately it was up to me to actually try these products to find which ones worked for my hair. Today, I still refuse to use Suave shampoos because they strip my hair, but I absolutely love the Suave Natural Conditioners to condition-wash my hair. I no longer use Creme of Nature and still appreciate Nexus products (or the knock-off's). Infusium is a great line of protein products, but I haven't restocked in since at least 2007. Generally, products with moisturizing and natural ingredients, with Water being at the top of the list, are products I gravitate to. I try to avoid products with a long list of chemicals or foreign-sounding names.
I hope to develop a "Product Review" column to help those with my similar texture of hair know what products don't work and which products do.
If you would like to ask me about some of your products or recommend any, please feel free to comment!
